Congregational Care

Pen

The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet. - Frederick Buechner

Mission
IAC's Congregational Care Ministry seeks to respond to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs within our congregation with compassion, strength and wisdom. This might include support through prayer, visitation, counsel, financial aid and referrals. But it isn't limited to those categories and our team strives to serve this Body with our creativity and with a listening posture of heart.

Bringing Your Offering
You might have noticed that we don't have a pastoral care ministry. Instead we call it Congregational Care because, as a priesthood of believers, we all have something to offer our brothers and sisters in their moment of need. Through His grace, God has enabled the Body of Christ to be primarily self-healing: we often have the necessary resources to keep the Body healthy without realizing it. Each person has something very real and substantial to offer - a way to serve the Body that also breathes life into us as we bring our gifts, talents and time. And the Body works best when every part is utilized, doing what it's created to do while working together with the other members (I Corinthians 12).
