IAC has a sister parish
relationship with the Kibali Sub-Parish in Kibali, Byumba, Rwanda. The Kibali
Sub-Parish is one of 31 parishes and 7 Sub-Parishes which compose Byumba
Diocese located in the North of Rwanda. The Kibali Sub-Parish is young, it was
established in November 2005. The congregation of Kibali is mostly femele and
more of them are widows, and there are also many orhans. 99 % of the
congregation "lives on peasant agriculture."
The Kibali Sub-Parish has four village congregations.
There are 726 people who worship at these four congregations. Once a month,
they all gather to worship as the whole parish -- and they worship in the open
air.
Teams from IAC have visited and worshiped
with our
sister parish since 2007. Our purpose has been to build the relationship, and the
Lord has woven our hearts together.
The vision of the Diocese is to establish the church as
the center of integrated community development: including a health center
/clinic, primary and and secondary schools, and economic development
(agriculture and livestock to sustain poor families)

Sponsor a Child in
Rwanda Have a heart for Rwanda? Consider sponsoring a child through
Compassion International in Rwanda! Compassion works through the local church
to minister to children who live in extreme poverty. For just $32 a month you
can provide for a specific child's physical, spiritual, economic and social
needs. Best of all, you can share Christ's love by praying for the child that
you sponsor, by exchanging letters with the child, and by even meeting the
child. Please see Regina Hopewell for information on how to sponsor a child.
Email Regina or call 719 488-8128 for
information.
