Fostering Hope is a program that enables a team of volunteers from
the faith community to serve as "extended family" to foster
parents, to assist and support them in their task of caring for
children whom they foster.
IAC has teams of volunteers and also provides financial support to
Fostering Hope. If you are
interested in volunteering, contact
Mike Myers.

Safe Families for Children offers sanctuary to children, minimizing
the risk for abuse or neglect and giving parents the time and tools
they need to help their families thrive. The ultimate goal is to
strengthen and support parents so they can become Safe Families for
their own children.
Safe Families volunteers can provide support in a variety of ways,
including the provision of respite care for children whose parents
cannot care for them for a period of time.
If you are interested in becoming a Safe Family, contact
Beth Battersby.

The mission of Mephibosheth Ministry is to train the church to
include people who have disabilities in the local congregation.
Using the story of David and Mephibosheth as our example,
Mephibosheth Ministry believes there is room for all people in
God’s family without having to design special programs or changing
your current ones. The Body of Christ is more complete when people
who have disabilities are a part of it.

GEM is reaching
Europe and changing the world through rapidly reproducing disciples
and churches. We are committed to seeing God’s Kingdom spread
through all the peoples of Europe to the world as we follow Jesus
and lead others to do the same. In January 2012, Greater Europe
Mission kicked off a new initiative, committed to seeing
discipleship movements ignited in 50 cities in 5 years. GEM wants
to mobilize and activate disciples of Jesus who want to leverage
their time and talents to make disciples among the peoples of
Europe. How that looks will depend on your abilities and
availability.

Amelia's
Orphanage
|
Amelia's
orphanage nestles in a very poor squatter community, Mfuleni, outside Cape
Town, South Africa. Here she lovingly cares for discarded and abandoned
children. Many are there because one or both parents have AIDS or have died
from it. Their ages range from a few weeks to 21. Some children are HIV
positive.
Through
donations from individuals and churches in the USA, a pre-school has been
constructed and furnished: a local lady was trained to be a Pre-school teacher; food is
purchased; school fees are covered for all the school going children.
Celeste Wolfaardt
is the main contact in the USA and all donations made to IAC and
designated to Amelia's home are tax deductible. |
