International
As part of a global
communion, specifically sponsored by Rwanda and Southeast Asia, we also seek to
be international in our outreach, ministries and congregation. (Genesis 12:2-3,
Revelation 5:9)
A Kingdom
Perspective
Our work is to expand the
Kingdom of God by bringing people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and by
planting new churches. This work is not to be limited by the artificial
barriers of denominations: we will seek to work with other believers to reach
as many as possible, that Jesus may be glorified. (Isaiah 54:2-3, Matthew
28:18-20)
Transforming
Lives
Many people today live empty and
searching lives consumed by loneliness, fear, emptiness and purposelessness.
People need Jesus to forgive, cleanse, heal, renew and refresh them -- to
transform them from the inside out -- so that they can experience and grow in
His life, hope and joy. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians
5:8)
Renewing
Minds
The ways that we naturally think
and look at the world are not God's ways. We need to grow in our experience and
knowledge of the One who holds all things in His hands so that we can rightly
understand this world and engage our culture. (Romans 12:2, 1 Corinthians
1:18)
Intimacy with
God
The Almighty Lord of the Universe
desires to be in intimate relationship with us. We need dynamic and Spirit-led
worship to connect with our Abba in heaven. We need the outpouring of His
Spirit into our lives. We need to be grounded in prayer. (Zephaniah 3:17,
Romans 5:5)
Empowering
People
Every believer is called and
equipped by God for ministry: we are a kingdom of priests and are to be working
together to carry out His will. All need to discover their God-given purpose
and spiritual gifts and be equipped into ministry. (1 Corinthians 12:7,
Ephesians 2:10)
Authentic
Relationships
In our fast-paced and transient
world, we long for places of genuine connection where we can trust, be known,
be encouraged and connected with others. We need the fellowship that comes from
being joined together into the Body of Christ. (John 15:12, Acts
2:42)
Contemporary and
Ancient
Our society has become rootless,
with no sense of history or permanence. We long for something that will last
and is not just the latest fad. Building on the foundation of God's Word, we
will combine the best of contemporary worship with the ancient traditions of
the faith. Evangelical, Charismatic and Liturgical will combine together into
one stream of life. (Jeremiah 6:16, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
