Women at the Well, the women’s ministry of
IAC, has at its heart the desire to provide a community where
women can be discipled and encouraged in their pursuit of the
heart of our God, and in the living out of that faith in their
lives.
Obviously, there is not a prescribed formula
for doing that, so the leadership team of this ministry leans
into prayer and listening to discern what God is designing for
us in any given season. As God encourages us to be more
authentic with Him and with one another, we want to find more
opportunities to do that.
Currently IAC has small group studies, moms’
groups, spiritual direction opportunities, spontaneous
gatherings, and relationships being built among our women.
In November of 2003 we began Women at the Well Retreats at the
Franciscan Retreat Center. We now offer these one day retreats
in Advent and in Lent, and they are open to the women of IAC and
their friends. There are also many wonderful offerings for
women put on by other churches around the area; we want to know
about those, too, so we can let you know.
While we can’t know the needs of all of the women at IAC, we
long for every woman to feel that she has access to a person or
a group with whom to connect. That really requires
heart-networking among all of us, not just the ministry team.
It’s clear that there are many in our midst
who have things to offer – we want to hear from you and pray
with you, to discern what God might be stirring. Remember
that what we have to offer one another is not limited to
teachable topics or large workshops; what we have to offer
can be the gift of being alongside, the gift of listening, the
gift of sharing our story, the gift of laughter. Our God
is limitless.
If you want to be connected, if you want to
offer, if you are gifted in networking, if you just want to say
I’m here . . . e-mail us at
women@iac-cs.org We
look forward to hearing from you.
